Description
- Frequency converter
- Frequency generator
- Simultaneous f/I and f/f functions
- Current/voltage analog output
- Two PNP/NPN or relay outputs
- Programmable by PC and Loop Link
Advanced function
- The 5225 converter can be programmed with the Loop Link configuration kit and a PC or delivered fully configured.
Applications
- The f/I function converts a frequency into current or voltage.
- The f/f function can be used for pulse division or multiplication and as a buffer for a fast pulse train.
- The simultaneous f/I and f/f function provides the possibility to have a digital output signal as well as an analog output signal.
- The frequency generator function can be used for example as a time base or as a clock generator.
- The sensor input and power supply are protected against reverse polarity.
- Programmable digital outputs NPN, PNP or contact.
Technical characteristics
- 4 LEDs on the front panel indicate the status: “f in” when the input is active, “Dig.out.1” and “Dig.out 2” when outputs 1 and 2 are active, and “error” indicates a break or short circuit at the input (NAMUR only).
- The current output is programmable in a range between 0…20 mA.
- The voltage output scale is selectable between 0…10 Vdc and 0…1 Vdc by internal jumpers.
- Input range:
- Frequency: 0…20,000 Hz
- Sensor type: NAMUR, tacho, NPN, PNP, TTL, S0
- Output range:
- Current and voltage output: 0…20 mA / 0…10 V
- Relay outputs: 0…20 Hz
- NPN and PNP output as f/f: 0…1000 Hz
- NPN and PNP output as generator: 0…20,000 Hz
